The chapters below explain how to open the maintenance screen by using either the maintenance display unit or a laptop computer to verify that the Orca installation has been successful. Maintenance screen is a program that runs on the Platypus device.
Your Orca delivery may contain a maintenance display unit. You can connect this tool to Platypus by using a VGA cable as shown below. The red and black cable is the maintenance display unit power cable.
Proceed as follows:
Start the machinery and use it to generate test data for Platypus.
Connect the maintenance display unit to Platypus by using the VGA cable.
The maintenance screen is shown in the display. The maintenance screen indicates the input states, the GPRS state, and whether the connection to the central server is working properly. For more detailed information, see the section called “Orca Maintenance Screen”.
Check that the SIGNALS fields and ACCELERATION AND SPEED have correct values.
Inform Oliotalo Oy that Platypus has been successfully mounted.
