Example of an Oliotalo Solution
A typical solution is a remote monitoring system, shortly RMS, to improve performance and effectivity by knowing more. Remote industrial machines of which their owners or users want to know more, are equipped with a small terminal device, called PlatypusTM. Remote machinery monitoring software comes from Oliotalo Oy, for example RhinoTM or dOGMATM. Hereinafter, machine refers to any machine or device in the RMS, and terminal refers to PlatypusTM with a proper software.
The terminal collects the selected data from the machine, and stores the data. The terminal sends the data via a wireless network to the server computer. A central server computer is dedicated for this use and will serve as the store of the information from all the machines.
The software in the server includes a web interface, through which users can access the information and look at curves, tables, statistics, etc..
Companies renting machines can utilze the information for securing their interests in rental businesses. Owners of machinery or users of rental machinery can seek performance improvements through increased awareness of the usage of the machines.
